Livigno lies in an enchanting valley in alta Valtellina, Lombardy, stretching across 12 km and nestling between two mountain ranges progressively descending from an altitude of 3000 m down to 1800 m. Famous for looking like a fairy-tale village in the mountains, Livigno is also very well known as an important location for many international ski competitions, such as “La Scambeda”, cross-country ski competition, La Ciaspoleda, Telemark Festival, under 18 World Rookie Snowboarding Tour, Stralivigno and National Bike Park Marathon, just to mention the most important ones.
Livigno is the perfect destination for snow-lovers. Here you can enjoy your favorite winter sport, being it alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, snowboarding, snowshoes… But the specialty of this tour is heliski.
You will board a helicopter and will be carried to a landing zone on the top of mountain. Get ready to experience the fascination of skiing on off-the-beaten track slopes!
And after an electrifying day on the snow, you don’t want to miss some comfort and fun that Livigno can offer you… excellent restaurants and pubs, from traditional cabins where you can enjoy the amazing Italian food and wine, to modern clubs giving apres-ski dance parties. And furthermore, you can relax at the local spa Aquagranda or pay a visit to the cheese dairy… everybody can find their ideal activity!
It is also possible to visit a spend one day at Bormio Thermal Baths, whose thermal waters flow from nine different springs located at various altitudes, from 1280 m to 1421 m.
