Make your own olive oil

Have you ever wondered how olive oil is made? Well, now not only can you see it with your own eyes, but you can also learn and take part in this centenary tradition of olive picking and oil production! You will personally pick olives, bottle your own olive oil and bring it home to your family and friends. You will also have the chance to pick mushrooms and fresh herbs, that our experienced “massaia” will cook for you. But not only food: we will make you taste wine in a local winery on your way to Otranto. And for those who are interested, there is a special cooking class where you can learn how to make fresh pasta.

Along with this gastronomy experience, we will offer a week rich in outdoor activities to make you enjoy the fabulous landscapes, with climbingmountain bike and trekking tours.

And to make your experience complete, we couldn’t leave some culture out! You will have the chance to visit Lecce, the cradle of baroque, Otranto, UNESCO cultural heritage, and Leuca, the Southest point of Salento.

Below you can find the program. In case you are not interested in some of the activities,

we can personalise the tour according to your needs and interests.


DAY 1: Transfer from the airport (Brindisi) to Lecce. Guided tour of Lecce. Transfer to the Masseria (Corsano) and check in.

DAY 2: Morning: Mountain bike excursion to Leuca (12 km, easy road) and Ponte del Ciolo (6 km, easy road) through country roads. Seafood lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon: Return to the Masseria by MTB (7 km, easy road). Demonstration of olive net laying, olive harvesting by hand, net collection, olive cleaning.

DAY 3: Morning: Olive picking and olive press. Home-made lunch in the countryside with typical food.
Afternoon: Trekking on Via del Sale (duration: 3 hours, difficulty: easy).

DAY 4: Morning: Olive picking and olive press. Home-made lunch in the countryside with typical food.
Afternoon: Climbing at Ciolo Canyon (difficulty: from 4c on). Dinner: barbecue in the countryside.

DAY 5: Morning: Olive picking and olive press. Home-made lunch in the countryside with typical food.
Afternoon: Trekking/climbing on Via Ferrata della Mannuta (duration: 2 hours, difficulty: medium).

DAY 6: Morning: Trekking on Mannuta route (duration: 3 hours, difficulty: easy). Free lunch.
Afternoon: Olive picking and olive press.

DAY 7: Morning: Guided tour of Otranto, trekking tour from Otranto to Porto Badisco (duration: 4-5 hours, difficulty: medium). Packed lunch.
Afternoon: visit to a local winery and wine tasting. Dinner: seafood dinner on the sea at a local restaurant.

DAY 8: Check out and transfer to the airport (Brindisi).

The tour does not include:

Breakfasts, meals not listed above and drinks. Everything that is not included in the list “the tour includes”.
The meals not included in the package are freely managed: you can buy food at the shops and cook in your apartment or eat in the town of Corsano, 2 Km away from your accomodation.
