The origins of Rome in Sabina

Below you can find our proposal, but keep in mind that we can PERSONALIZE the tour according to your needs. You can decide the DURATION and the PLACES in the area you want to see to CREATE YOURSELF the perfect holiday.

Are you curious to know where and how Rome was born? This tour will give you the chance to discover the origins of Rome by visiting the territory of Sabina, just outside the Eternal City (around 60 km away). This region is where the ancient people of Sabines used to live on the famous Roman Hills and played a fundamental role in the birth of Rome. Nowadays, Sabina offers a unique variety of Medieval towns, beautiful landscapes, hills, rivers and a multitude of olive tree groves.
This tour will take you back in time to discover the origins of Rome, by visiting ancient villages, where artisans still carry out their ancient arts, dungeons, and museums, such as the olive oil and archaeological museums. But Sabina is also rich in natural beauties: you will have the chance to spend one day in the amazing nature reserve of Tevere Farfa di Nazzano and go for a ferry boat trip. What can’t be left out is also wine and food experiences: you will take part in a cooking class and will taste typical and traditional food. And to end your holiday in the best shape, relax at the Roman Thermal Baths!

This tour is planned to make you discover the beauties of nature and culture just outside Rome and make you enjoy an off-the-beaten track holiday, but if you want to take some days to visit Rome, we can help you and organize a few days in the capital.
