Things to do in Piedmont
Where is Piedmont?
Piedmont lies in the North-West of Italy, at the border with France. Turin is the capital city of the region, important business and cultural centre. Piedmont cultural richness is just as large as the natural one. The Alps are an important presence in the region, thus skiing, trekking, biking, and all of the outdoor activities related to the mountains are very popular. But maybe the most peculiar area in this region is the Langhe territory, the hills located one-hour driving South of Turin, which is the most important site for wine production in Italy. Truffle is another important specialty and the area of interest if you love “the king of the table” is Alba and its surroundings.
