Starting your tour from the bottom of the city, where you can admire the Roman theatre, will give you the chance to see the city from the distance and admire its majesty from below. With a short walk up into the heart of the city, you will meet probably the most scenic place: Piazza Grande, the symbol of Gubbio, surrounded by beautiful gothic buildings. The Cathedral is Gubbio treasure chest, where you can admire works of art of Gubbio artists from the XVI century. The Dukes Palace is a pleasure to admire, just in front of the cathedral, built in the XV century by Duke Federico da Montefeltro. Our local guide will make your tour perfect by taking you on top of Mount Ingino, where you can visit the Basilica of Saint Ubaldo and admire the beautiful view from above.
Gubbio is also knows as the “town of fools”. In the city centre you can find the Bargello fountain and if you run around the fountain for three times… you will get the license of fool, as the legend says.

Gubbio is the city to visit if you love medieval towns, with narrow streets and squares at every corner. Food and wine play also a great role in Gubbio traditions. You can do some wine tasting and typical lunches or dinners. The food specialty is the white truffle, so you can also try the experience of going truffle hunting with a professional hunter and have a delicious truffle-based lunch in one of the best restaurants in Gubbio.

If you like folkloristic events, don’t miss Gubbio White Truffle Festival and Corsa dei Ceri, one of the most ancient folkloristic manifestations in Italy held in the month of May.
