Founded by the Etruscan, Perugia is the capital city of Umbria and it is crossed by the river Tiber. It is an amazing art city, birthplace of the Italian painter Perugino, the teacher of Raffaello, the great Renaissance artist who produced five paintings in Perugia (today no longer in the city) and one fresco. You can see magnificent palaces, squares, churches and paintings and get lost in the numerous narrow streets of the city. Famous for its university, Perugia is also well-known for the festivals, such as Umbria Jazz Festival and Eurochocolate.
