The beautiful mountains in the North-East of Italy are UNESCO World Heritage Site for good reasons. This enchanting tour from mountain hut to hut will bring you to discover the most beautiful sceneries and landscapes of the entire Dolomites. Starting from Rolle Pass and ending in Sesto, you will spend six exciting days, during which you will do some freeride and ski mountaineering in the most beautiful peaks of the Dolomites, such as La Marmolada (3343 m in altitude), the highest range and called “the Queen of the Dolomites”.
Daily elevation gain is between 600 and 1000 m.
The itinerary may vary in case of poor weather conditions.
DAY 1: Rolle Pass – San Pellegrino Pass.
Skiing across the Mulaz in order to reach San Pellegrino Pass. Overnight at Furciade Refuge.
DAY 2: San Pellegrino Pass – Marmolada
Starting from Furciade Refuge and ascending to the lifts of Marmolada. Overnight at Pian dei Fiacconi Refuge which is located in the middle of this outstanding glacier.
DAY 3: Marmolada – Lagazuoi
Freeride skiing in Marmolada, Sella Group and descent through the majestic Canyon Val Mezdì. Overnight at Lagazuoi Refuge.
DAY 4: Lagazuoi – Cristallo
Freeride skiing across Cortina d’Ampezzo Valley: Lagazuoi, Cinque Torri, Tofana and Faloria-Cristallo. Overnight at Lorenzi Refuge.
DAY 5: Cristallo – Misurina
Freeride skiing on Creste Bianche. Overnight in Misurina, at Quinz Locanda al Lago.
DAY 6: Misurina- Sesto Pusteria
With snowmobile up to Auronzo Refuge and skiing across Tre Cime di Lavaredo to the Fondovalle Refuge, nearby Sesto Pusteria, where there will be a taxi that will drop you to Cortina.
The tour includes:
- Transfer to/from airport and all internal transfers
- 5 nights in mountain huts on half board basis
- Alpine guide along the path
- Luggage transfer, only for some destinations
The tour does not include: Lunches, drinks, and everything else not included in the list “The tour includes”.
Equipment you need to have:
- Ski mountaineering equipment, ski skins (you can ask for rental)
- Complete avalanche safety equipment (shovel, ARTVA/transmitter and probe)
- Backpack, 30 L recommended
